Built to augment
human judgement.

BevGenie was built to augment human decision-making — not replace it. Our goal is to help commercial teams explore information faster, identify opportunities sooner, and make better-informed decisions. Human judgment remains essential.

Our philosophy

Five positions we hold.

Stated plainly, so you can hold us to them.

Read the full commitments
01

Customer data

Customers retain ownership of their information. ConsumerIQ processes Customer Content only to deliver requested functionality.

Commitment

ConsumerIQ does not intentionally use Customer Content to train public foundation models.

02

Transparency

AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies or incomplete information. We would rather say that here than bury it.

What this means for you

Users should validate AI-generated recommendations before making material business decisions.

03

Human oversight

BevGenie supports — not replaces — professional expertise.

Where the line sits

Users remain responsible for evaluating recommendations before acting upon them.

04

Privacy

Customer Content is processed only as necessary to deliver requested services.

Isolation

Customer information is not intentionally shared across customers.

05

Continuous improvement

We continuously evaluate AI models and retrieval techniques.

What we measure

Accuracy · reliability · transparency · performance · security

Guardrails

The checks that run before an answer reaches you.

Positions are worth little without mechanisms. These are the checks BevGenie runs between the model and the reader, on every answer, whether or not anyone is watching.

Answers are grounded in queries that ran

Figures come from queries executed against connected data rather than from the model's recollection. Where a question has no dataset behind it, BevGenie searches current sources and says that is what it did.

A trend claim gets checked

Language about growth or decline is checked against the query behind it, which needs to cover more than one period to support a trend.

Printed numbers trace back to rows

A figure on a generated sell sheet must match a captured query result. Anything that cannot be traced is removed rather than estimated to fill the space.

Regulated actions fail closed

A recommended action is checked against a certified state-by-state rule set for the beverage class involved. Where a guarded action has no rule on file, the check blocks rather than assuming permission. This is a guardrail on commercial recommendations and not a substitute for your compliance counsel.

Answers in business language

Answers are written in business language rather than in the table and column names of the underlying systems.

Memory stays in your hands

BevGenie remembers what you tell it, and you can review, correct, or delete anything it holds. It asks first only for things it has inferred, and everything it holds sits on a settings page.

None of this removes the need for review. AI output can still be incomplete or wrong, and a material decision deserves a human check. How the guardrails shape what the product produces

Why purpose-built matters

A general model does not know what it does not know.

Generic AI can get things wrong without flagging any uncertainty — a well-structured, vocabulary-correct answer generated from incomplete context. In beverage-alcohol commercial decisions, that is costly in ways that are hard to trace back to the tool.

BevGenie reasons from data explicitly ingested into the system, following a path built around how BevAlc commercial decisions actually work.
